Google expands Gemini Intelligence across Galaxy foldables, wearables, and glasses

The story
At Galaxy Unpacked in London, Google announced a broader rollout of Gemini Intelligence across Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 devices, aimed at automating daily tasks across a wide set of apps and bringing Gemini Notebook to the fore on these devices.
Gemini Intelligence now supports more than 40 popular apps for handling daily chores, from shopping and reservations to travel planning and event bookings. Google also notes that Gemini can use advanced reasoning to understand on-screen content and parse complex images as prompts, helping users start tasks from visual cues.
Gemini Notebook, previously NotebookLM, comes preinstalled on the new foldables and enables a side-by-side workspace where users can drag and drop photos, documents, whiteboard images, and more. The chat function lets users ask questions about sources and generate high-quality resources such as slide decks, videos, flash cards, quizzes, or podcasts tailored to individual learning preferences.
To help people stay productive on the go, Google is expanding Gemini across wearables and eyewear. On the Galaxy Watch 9, Gemini is accessible for quick questions, and Google announced intelligent eyewear launching this fall in partnership with Samsung, with two frames from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker and two additional frames, plus hand-gesture control when worn with a Wear OS watch.
The company is also rolling out a six-month trial of Google AI Pro on all three foldable devices, expanding access to features like Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, Slides, and more. Google says more intelligent features will roll out as they become ready, signaling a continuing push to make AI more proactive across everyday devices.
